I have built a greenhouse foundation using lecablocks, on which a 60 cm brick wall and then aluminum profiles for the Willab greenhouse will be mounted. The area in front of the greenhouse will be filled and paved with cobblestones. The ground level will thus be at the top of the lecablocks. The greenhouse has sliding doors, and these run in a profile outside the greenhouse, and the surface according to the instructions should be even and flat (see sketch). I am considering casting a narrow extra concrete section directly next to the lecablock wall (on the base concrete footing) to create this surface (see image). The concrete section will thus rest on the existing concrete footing and have the lecablock wall on one side and a form for casting on the other side. Questions: Is it possible to cast a narrow concrete section – only about 7 cm wide? How should it be reinforced best? Mesh standing vertically with spacers to the "walls"? Should the lecablock foundation be primed before casting the concrete? Should coarse concrete be used despite it being a narrow but high footing? Anything else to consider?
