Just tore down a wall in the basement where we smelled mold. In the furthest corner, there were rotten wooden studs. It was undrained there, so having problems wasn't surprising.
Now it is newly drained and insulated on the outside.

Are there any alternatives to plastering the walls, like some kind of cement board or similar?

What are you going to use the basement for? If it's now drained and insulated, you can set aluminum studs and then set a regular wall with OSB and gypsum board. Otherwise, I'm unfortunately not very knowledgeable about the range of boards you're asking about. But I assume there is a simpler alternative. However, the price might be very high. But check with a building supply store and see what they offer.

It's a bedroom

How does it work with lightweight concrete when insulated on the outside below ground level? I haven't insulated above ground on the outside.

Those of you who are good at plastering, do I need to remove all the old tile adhesive or can I plaster over it?
Will it require netting?
