Hello,
I will be using rather wide glulam beams as posts.
These are 90x225.
I plan to use 2 adjustable (height-wise) post shoes under each post if possible.
The pillar I am going to cast is a 200mm form tube sunk about 700mm into the ground.
So the post shoes will not cover the entire post and in some cases may not be completely centered under the post.
The form tube is round. Perhaps it would be appropriate to notch out the form tube, dig out in the direction the post stands, and cast a 40cm deep + 20cm wide footing perhaps? So that the concrete foundation becomes like a T.
For those who are knowledgeable and know, is there a better (correct) way?
