How to attach things to a wall with double plasterboard + renovation plasterboard?

Planning to renovate the hallway that currently has an ugly brown wallpaper. No, I didn't choose it, it was there when we bought the townhouse 
When we redid the bedroom that also had wallpaper, it was a nightmare removing the wallpaper there. My idea is to use renovation plasterboard 6mm (is there a 4mm?) on top of the wallpaper and just go from there. This way, I can avoid the hassle of tearing down the wallpaper, sanding the walls, filling etc. etc. etc.
Sure, I'll still need to fill the plasterboard joints and so on, but it's a much easier job.
I'm not sure if plasterboards from 1974 have the same dimensions as today, but if they do, the wall thickness would be 12+12+6mm = 30mm
For example, are there Molly plugs that can handle 30mm? I seem to remember they go up to 24 and 6mm is quite a lot in this context.
What are the other good mounting methods for plaster walls? Planning to put up a coat rack and two wall shelves from IKEA.
Expedit, weight 25 kg, 5 shelves. Max load per shelf 13 kg = 65 kg + 25 kg = 90 kg
Billy, weight 16 kg, 3 shelves. Max load per shelf 10 kg = 30 kg + 16 kg = 46 kg.
So you could say the wall with two plasterboards plus renovation plasterboard needs to withstand 90 kg. Of course, you try to hit a stud if possible, but it depends on how the layout needs to be solved... Now, each shelf might not actually be loaded with 13 kg, etc., but it's good to know if the wall can hold. It’s more about gloves, hats, dog leashes, etc.
The coat rack will need to handle a couple of winter coats during that season as well. A few winter coats can weigh quite a bit. Plus, the breaking point is different from a wall shelf since the hangers with coats hang further out... Increases the load on the upper screws.

All the drywall in our house (also -74) is 10 mm. If that is the case for you as well, then the wall thickness would be 26 mm (10+10+6) and a 24 mm should work.
But isn't it easier to just remove the outer layer of drywall and replace it with modern 12.5 mm instead? Alternatively, remove both layers of drywall and replace them with osb+drywall to secure the coat rack and cabinets.
I don't think mounting a coat rack in just drywall will hold.
