Hi,

I'm in the process of installing a fireplace in a vacation home where the floor consists of concrete slabs (outdoor slabs). The fireplace is quite stable, but not so stable that it can't be moved with a decent push. I would like to secure it to the floor to avoid future leakage around the chimney connection. Any tips on what I could use? I don't think the floor under the fireplace will reach a high temperature, but maybe that's something to consider? I'm thinking a bead of silicone could work. Or maybe double-sided tape might even be sufficient. What do you think?

Best regards,
Markus

Is there a hole in the stove base that you can screw into?

Yes, there are two holes, but one of them is right at the edge of a plate and the other at a joint, so unfortunately that solution won't work.

Found some gray silicone in storage, I think I'll try with that.

I would rather have used epoxy or other similar glue.
Maybe NoMoreNails?

Rickard.
I think silicone is a wise choice. It might be troublesome to move, but also quite easy the day you want to take it out.
