Hello! Hoping for wise input from some knowledgeable people.
We are framing out a wall in connection with a kitchen renovation to conceal hot water pipes and run electricity in the wall. The plan is 45x45 mm studs, 12 mm plywood, gypsum. The area to be framed out is about 4 meters, but after 2.5 meters, there is a window. What would you recommend for stud spacing? The wall will not be insulated. I understand that the stud spacing depends on the width chosen for the plywood sheet, but is there any intrinsic value in placing the studs closer together since it is a relatively short section to be framed out?
Base cabinets and a few shelves will be installed later, but no wall cabinets are planned for that wall.

Yes, that's usually the case. The window, by the way, came 2 meters in on the wall, so there will only be three studs on that section before the window. I was wondering if there is any merit in placing them a bit closer so there won't be too few studs?Bo arnold said:
