Hello!
I'm considering building the outer walls like this: panel-drywall-OSB. The drywall for soundproofing. The question is if it makes any difference?

It's about a guest cottage.

I screwed renovation gypsum (6mm) in our guest cabin and noticed that it became quieter with each board I put up (it was windy outside).
Regular gypsum boards probably dampen quite well.

Sound is vibrations, so it doesn't dampen very much since the studs carry the vibrations further.

But there are sound-dampening materials you can place between the drywall and the studs that absorb a lot of sound if you also insulate the wall to be very solid.

Do you have an example of such material?
It is a timber frame that will get an installation layer and insulation on the inside (iCell 45mm)
