I'm planning to break up a sewer line in the basement ~5m long through a room to replace the old cast iron pipes with plastic before finishing the room. Can I buy Gjuta grov bags at Byggmax and cast with them? How many bags do you think it will take? Can it be extended with gravel? Grateful for a quick response.

I did the same thing in my basement and used eps cement. http://www.epscement.com/ available at Beijers and K-Rauta among others.
Advantages: self-drying, you can cover the surface quickly after, fills well per weight unit (it doesn’t take many bags) quoted from the website above "One bag of 50 liters EPS Cement is sufficient for 1 sqm at a thickness of 50 mm." Quick mental calculations: assume a trench 40 cm wide * 5m = 2 sqm = 2 bags.
Disadvantages: Possibly a bit more expensive and you need to apply a thin layer of leveling compound on top.
It's naturally possible with coarse casting, just keep in mind that concrete takes a very long time to dry before you can, for example, lay tiles or something else on top. It takes at least a few months. (talk to a knowledgeable person in the field for a more precise time).
By diluting with gravel, I assume you mean the concrete and that's probably not recommended. But you can fill around the pipe with gravel (that's probably how it looks today) and then apply 50 mm eps cement over and finish with a thin layer of leveling compound (or similar).
Good luck!

50 mm is a bit too thin. I recommend 100 mm to achieve normal thickness for gjuningen. A regular säck gjuta grov provides about 13 liters of concrete, so then it's just a matter of doing a little calculation
13 bags of regular coarse concrete will be needed (5m x 0.3m x 0.1m = 150liters, you get 12-13 liters per bag).
If you need a waterproof layer on the concrete, it must dry for a long time; if tiles are placed directly on it, you don't need to wait as long. Search the forum for exact details.
If there are coarse stones under the slab, a tip is to refill around the pipes with Leca kulor in bags (available at larger hardware stores).

Pouring 10cm in a channel where it probably wasn't more than 5cm before just feels silly. With this, I mean to say that check how thick what you've chipped away is, and if it's only 2-3 cm, then 4 cm over the channel will surely suffice.
