How long should the plaster dry before a new layer?

I have patched some holes in the basement walls (indoors) with KC mortar but need to apply a bit more as it sank in some places. How long do I need to let the mortar dry before I can apply a new layer, and when can I start painting the walls?

Nobody knows :-/ I've checked the manufacturers' websites but can't find anything so I guess I'll just go ahead then :

You can continue repairing as soon as you want with new bruk. You can wait to paint until it is completely dry; if it's indoors and not humid, then two days and you'll be on the safe side.
