Now I've been searching like crazy on the internet!

There are lots of places that say when and how quickly you can remove a form after casting - but nowhere how long you can leave it on.

I was planning to cast a small but thick roof and have built a form out of facade wood that I planned to reuse to build a shed or storage. If I leave the form on too long (how long), will the wood get stuck in the concrete? I wasn't planning to oil the wood but just water it thoroughly before casting.

The reason is that I might have to go away for 10 days. Is it hopeless after such a long time?

It can get stuck..

Some you can loosen, some are as firm as a rock...

chance/luck?

When should you take down the form then?

I have never had trouble removing a form made of regular boards. 10 days sounds like a good time for the concrete to cure.

It turned out that 10 days was perfect. Watered the mold from the inside on the first day and it was enough.
