How do you calculate the total height of a house if you have the ridge height, width, and roof angle?

The total height is the height up to the ridge or any chimney or other pipes that are higher.

If you mean the building height, you need to subtract the height of the roof itself (if the angle is less than 45 degrees). The height is tan(v) * (width/2).

No, not the building height, I know the building height is 14 m and the roof pitch is 45 degrees. However, I do not know the width of this apartment building that is planned to be built 10 meters from our property line, but I assume that an apartment building with a 30-meter length should be at least 10 meters wide. I think I calculate the total height as follows: 10/2 x sin 45, i.e., 4.25 m to add to the 14 m building height. That would give a total height of 18.25 meters. Is this correct?

No, 14 meters plus 5 meters (with a 45-degree angle, the adjacent and opposite sides are equal) gives a ridge height of 19 meters.

Thank you for the response. How is this calculated? A formula would be nice to adjust if the building becomes, for example, 12 meters wide.
So clarification: How do you calculate the total height of a house if you know the building height, width, and roof angle?

Or if you change the roof angle

Thank you so much! Have a nice weekend.
