How do I resolve wood construction around chimney??

Maybe there are different rules for brick and metal chimneys; I was told that non-load-bearing wood was OK. Not that chimney sweeps usually have much of a clue. If you want five different answers, talk to five different chimney sweeps.
For clear answers, I usually check with the office lady at Brandförebyggarna in Visby. She is well-informed.

Yes, there are sheets that came with the chimney. But I photographed without the cover plate to be able to show the inspector that it was fixed as he wanted.mycke_nu said:
