I have a bunch of wall brackets that look like this (see images) and hold the water pipe against the wall.
Chrome wall mount holding a vertical pipe against bathroom tiles.

Now I'm in the process of replacing all the silicone sealant in the bathroom in connection with replacing the shower glass, and therefore need to remove the pipe to access the silicone behind it. But I don't quite understand how to detach it. It looks and feels like there are two separate parts that can be taken apart, but I'm unsure how.

The clamp consists of 2 parts, an inner part that is usually screwed into the wall and the next chrome cover cap that is clamped on and snaps into place.

Sometimes you press a little inward into the hole and pull a bit outward on the chrome piece to separate it.

I only found a picture of one with 2 tubes in it, but it's often the same or a similar principle

snap fasteners that you either poke into holes or bend a little outward so the plastic comes loose.
