Hi, I'm going to install a vanity with a width of 600mm.

However, there are no studs where the pre-drilled holes in the vanity are. So I'm wondering how to attach it in the best way to ensure it holds 😁

It's some type of panel material (gray wall) with Huntonit wall panel (11mm) on top.

I have located studs behind the panels using a magnet and nails, and they seem to have a spacing of about 400-450mm (house built in '72).

So how do I attach this so it holds properly? Is it enough to put 2 wood screws in the middle (at the stud), then a support bracket underneath, or is there another way to avoid the support bracket?

(The tape measure starts where the stud is).

. Installing a bathroom vanity against a gray panel wall, with a ruler marking a stud location and plumbing visible below. Wall with vertical paneling and a strip of wood near the top, with a foldable ruler placed horizontally on the surface. Expandable ruler on a white panel wall, indicating stud position for mounting. How was it attached before?

This is new, after renovation. Previously, it was just a sink attached to brackets as it was at that time.

But then you should know what the wall is made of, right? Isn't there any form of OSB/plywood behind the drywall as recommended by "sÀkert vatten" today? Otherwise, it should be reinforced where the sink is mounted if the board is omitted.

I have no idea. There was a type of soft wallpaper on the wall before we removed it. So I've never been through the board to see how it's constructed.

This is not classified as a wet room today since it only has a washbasin and a toilet. There's linoleum on the floor, but the walls have Huntonit and are painted.

The dresser stands on legs, so a few screws in the wall should be enough to keep it in place.

No, this one is wall-mounted. I've propped it up on cardboard to see approximately where it lands, or maybe I'm using the wrong word when I say dresser.

You can put legs on everything...and then all your problems with weight and wall quality disappear.
