Hello!
Wondering if anyone knows how deep the heating pipes are embedded in the concrete. I'm installing new interior walls with steel studs in the basement and they need to be anchored to the floor. The heating pipes most likely run where I need to attach the wall. The house is an LB house from 1970, and the room is a "hobby room" in the basement. In this particular room (and the room next to it), there's a two-wire system, which is not present in the rest of the house. I'd rather not place the wall "inside" where I think the pipes are, as this would take up a lot of space. Does anyone have an idea?

O
Can't you glue?

The steel studs are standing on a Platon mat, so I am forced to secure the wall with nail plugs.

Guess they're not deep enough.....turn off the heat completely so it gets cold....rent/borrow a thermal camera and then turn the heat on full so you can map where the pipes go....

Can confirm that this works excellently. I did just that myself when I was looking for heating pipes.
