An unknown number of years ago (5-10?), I saw a segment on TV, "Landet runt" I believe it was, where someone decided to first erect a large greenhouse, then build their house inside it. The idea was that they could then leisurely go at their own pace without worrying about the weather, and they were apparently considering leaving the greenhouse up after the house was finished to reduce energy costs and have a warmer, snow-free garden.
Does anyone know about the project and how it turned out?

There is also a house where they built a 'greenhouse' (i.e., glass) over an existing house. They removed the roof, and the attic became a large play 'room'. I read about it in a newspaper. However, I got the impression that this was not professionally done, and they didn't seem to really know what they were doing. I have no idea if it still exists or if it works well or poorly.
