It doesn't look like it, more like some deposit from a leakage.M MalinStr said:
But if you're unsure, scrape it off and put it in a bag; it's not dangerous in that small amount.

Unfortunately, it could be a connection that has been internally compromised and is leaking through the metal. It's probably best to take that seriously before the entire connection comes apart and causes something....... It doesn't look like the threaded connection has leaked, so if no scrub brush has been against there and left something behind, it likely points to impending troubles if nothing is done about it.
Thank you for a sensible answer.S Stefan1972 said:Unfortunately, it could be a connection that has been attacked from the inside and is leaking through the metal. Of course. It's a small pore. Probably a manufacturing defect from around 1920, or so.S Stefan1972 said:Unfortunately, it might be a connection that has been attacked from the inside and is leaking through the metal. No roof danger is present, almost certainly not.

As staffan says. A por. Microläckage.
Do not scrape it away as it may start to leak more.
Replace the connection in the near future, but it's probably not urgent.
It looks like an old securex-connection so some remodeling is required.

There is probably no one who can claim that there is no problem. Even if it's a pore right where it leaks, the connection could be corroded in more areas where it hasn't broken through yet. It could be paper-thin around it... The only one who knows then is the one who replaces the connection. I have replaced old similar connections myself that have snapped off when you loosened them.
The risk of leakage can be debated endlessly, based on our different experiences.S Stefan1972 said:There is probably no one who can claim that it is not a danger. But we can agree that these mineral deposits don't form overnight. Rather over several years. So there is no immediate danger.

No, not the deposits but the connection might as well be weakened on the inside.......... Sure, it's just a pore that's leaking but that doesn't mean it's a pore through 5mm of undamaged material. The pore might have formed because it's too thin right there and just a tiny bit thicker in other places so it hasn't gone through yet..........
