Since we're starting to feel a bit cramped, I thought the oldest daughter could eventually move into an attefallshus.
And since I already have a massive heating bill today
I was drawn to the construction with EPS blocks used in the passive house from France (which was featured in the newsletter a week or so ago) but with an OSB board glued on each side like a sandwich element.
It should be fairly easy to build a press in the garage that can press such a building element one at a time and thereby use the winter months to prefabricate almost the entire house.
What do you think about such a construction, 200mm (or does it have to be 300?) eps with an OSB on each side. Will it support roof trusses, etc., without having to place studs in the middle of the walls here and there? The house won't be that large, about 7x3.5, so the loads shouldn't be too big.
Will it be more expensive or cheaper than a regular house with a frame, I wonder? I haven't found any prices for EPS with 200 or 300mm thickness.
