I'm going to replace a window now and bought a new window 13x13 from Svenska Fönster (1280x128mm).
Now as I release the trim, I see that the hole width will be larger than I thought.
The old window is 1380 x 1300mm.
It is 1380mm, what do I do with the 80mm that's too big??
Is it just a matter of taking a stud and attaching it to the wall, something like 145x45 on each side?
Should this stud go from edge to edge or how do you do it?
(Outer wall -> inner wall)
Or should/should it be done in some other way?

Yes, you can set a rule to reduce the opening, or two as you suggest if it becomes easier with lining inside and outside. No, the rule does not need to be the full thickness of the wall, after you have fixed the window you can insulate the cavity.
