Hinge screws don't fit the door frame?
Hello,
I've noticed that when inserting a frame screw into the holes available on the door frame, the last metal part of the frame screw is a bit too wide and long to fit into the hole. Is it intended that other screws should be used? I'm using 90mm frame screws, and the screw hits the metal visible in the hole and won't go deeper.
Picture of the hole in the frame:

Normally, it is not drilled through. It must be done with a 14mm drill bit before the frame screw is screwed in, i.e., the hole should be 14 mm through the entire frame.
Oh, how do I know what thickness and length I need for the screws for the frame sleeves?
By the way, do the screws have a specific name? I've been searching a bit online but only found TEMA referring to them as "anchoring screw for frame sleeve" and then Jula sells them, otherwise no one, I'd preferably want to buy mine at Bauhaus or similar which is nearby.
Thanks for the picture

But all larger hardware stores should have these.
I believe that Essve has these in their range.
Ahh I see, I'll try with the nearest hardware store then.
It's 7.5 x 60 mm that is standard for wood studs as I understand it?

I have doors from the same manufacturer in my house, you have to drill the holes for it to work, I initially used the hammer drill because it was the only one that could handle it, but the frame screw still didn't go in far enough. After drilling through the door frame, it worked just fine. However, I don't remember if we used a 13 or 14mm drill bit, but it probably doesn't matter much. I also used a 90mm frame screw. By frame screw, I mean the following model: http://www.beijerbygg.se/store/priv...tning/programa-karmskruv-90-oh-80st-005238616
Would be incredibly kind
Hello Pumba, were there also karmhylsor on yours? I don't quite understand what you mean by drilling up the holes if you had them.
Edit: ahh I see, it's a bit different then, I assume you had it without karmhylsor.
