I am building a birdhouse that will have a hexagonal roof.
Is there anyone kind enough out there who can help me figure out the angles for the roof? I would like it to have a slope of 45°.

Thanks in advance :)

Hehe, I have drawn up your birdhouse in CAD, that's how fun my work is today.
But to answer your question, the roof pieces should be an isosceles triangle with angles of 2 x 71° and the pointy one at 39°, but that adds up to 181°, yes it does, but shit happens, you'll have to file a bit extra on one piece. As an example, this gives for a birdhouse that is 200mm across that each piece should be 100mm at the base and 141.4mm high, so you end up compensating and angling for the thickness of the material.
That's how it is.

Skulle kanske förtydliga där att "rakt över" då betyder från ett hörn till det motstående hörnet, inte från sida till sida, och att 141,4 är längden på taktrianglarnas långsidor.

yes exactly, it probably went a bit fast there.....
Thanks

Thanks for the help!
