Hexagon head screw M16, where to buy?

Anyone know where to buy M16 hex bolts in the Stockholm area? In the usual store chains, M12 seems to be the largest size.

Swedol, or Sifvert Skruv, or some machine company. Possibly also some machine workshop that services excavators, wheel loaders, etc.

Thanks for the info, Sifverts screw sounds good and it's also well located. But damn, proper screws are expensive!!! Like 1000 bucks for a 25-pack, I guess I just have to cough it up... (What do I do with the ones I don't need, put them in a safety deposit box? ;-)

What length do you need?
I might have a bunch that fits if you pass by Örebro, they don't cost 1000:- for a 25-pack

VAT will probably also be added to the prices in the catalog... I might need two lengths which means that the screw fascists will make a substantial amount off me!!

Swedol should have it, otherwise they can surely order it. They usually sell in bulk as well, so you can buy as many as you need.

Definitely going to check with Swedol, bulk sounds like my thing because I don't need so many and possibly varying lengths.

Don't know if it suits your application but gängstång is available at for example biltema, swedol and it will be cheap.

In the local hardware store here at home (with a fascinatingly large selection, even inches) it's no problem to buy a single screw. However, it's located on the west coast...

Otherwise, you could check with a mechanical workshop.

Täby järn also has hot-dip galvanized. They sell screws individually. I bought screws and nuts vfz in coarse dim from there for the dock in the countryside.

Otherwise, I believe in a mechanical workshop, money for the coffee fund, the times I've dealt with workshops it has been like that, paperwork just becomes troublesome. And the price has been a little above scrap value. As long as they understand that you're not from any authority trying to catch them.

I don't know if it suits your application but threaded rod is available at places like Biltema, Swedol, and it's cheap.

I have also noted this detail regarding the price. Are we talking about a gigantic screw conspiracy here, or is it actually technically very difficult to manufacture a screw head with a whole 6 (!) sides?? :x However, it doesn't fit my application.

Two very good suggestions since they both offer hot-galvanized. Earlier today, I discovered (as I took a trip to Fredells) that there is about a factor of 5 difference in price compared to stainless steel A2 and A4. But hot-galvanized works well in a normal outdoor environment (close to the ground), right?

I'll probably head over to Täby on Monday so that I can buy individually. I'll swing by Swedol in Skärholmen on the way there in case they have the right dimension. But it's probably best to simply call first.

I'm skipping Skruv-Sifvert as he seems to have specialized in A2 and A4 (wonder what their inventory is worth?? :wow
