I will construct and build a staircase according to the diagram below, but I'm unsure about dimensions among other things.
The staircase opening is approximately 2 x 3 meters in total.
I will calculate the details later, but floor to floor is about 3 meters, so 1.5 meters rise on a 2 meters horizontal staircase. With a 17 cm step height and 8 or 9 steps, the depth of each step will be about 25 cm. That part feels quite good.
The plan is to build a landing with 45 x XXX mm joists. The stringers for the lower staircase will be attached to the landing's joists. The stringers for the upper staircase in the same way, the upper end will be attached to the floor joists above.
Stair treads in 30 mm solid oak? The left edge of the lower staircase, where the treads should be visible from the outside, we'll put a plasterboard under them that goes up against the treads. To make this look nice, there will be a glass railing with a handrail.
What I'm unsure about is:
1. Dimension of the stringers? I would prefer them to be over-dimensioned rather than the opposite, I think? Glulam 70 x 225? I plan to cut out the notches myself using a plunge saw and rail.
2. Dimension of the stair treads?
3. Dimension of the risers (it should be a closed staircase)
The absolute focus is stability and NO creaking.
Do you have any tips and ideas? Have I missed anything?
Is there something wrong with the forum? I've received an email that at least one person (Hempularen) has already replied to this, but in the thread, I only see my original post. Strange.
Hi
How did it go with the dimensions? What did you use?
I'm going to do the same and find the thread (which was old as hell) but still trying for an answer.

Well, not that old after all. I decided to finish the house back then without making the staircase to the upper floor, which wasn't completed.
But now, in the year 2020, I got inspired to finish and tackled the staircase again.
Built the landing etc. using regular studs and chipboard, then decided between cutting my own stringers or buying laser-cut ones from a carpentry, and went with the latter. The time it would take and the difficulty of getting the angles just right made the decision. Attaching a picture of what I ordered.
Now the stringers are in place and I'm working on cladding them with gypsum and OSB (from underneath and up to the stairs). Later, there will be 40 mm oak treads and risers, but that will have to wait. During the construction period of the upper floor, I'll just lay a bunch of 45 x 220 studs as treads so I won't have to worry.
