Hello! I want to demolish a wall between the living room and the kitchen. The total measurement is 8 meters.

The house is a 1.5-story house. Gable roof with tiles.
My idea is to build supports/posts at each end.
I can also insert construction drawings. Snow load zone 2.

The length of the beam will be 8 meters, which I know is very long, and will require a substantial beam. I really want to know if it's even possible to do it without having a pillar in the middle of the beam, and if so, what dimensions of the beam I need.

I hope someone can help me get an idea 😊

Hello and welcome to Byggahus!
Is the wall between the living room and kitchen load-bearing?

Have you considered moving the stairs?
Because now there is a high risk that the stairs are hanging on that wall.

Hire a structural engineer who can discuss different options with you on site.

Yes, that staircase will be removed and replaced with a spiral staircase in a different location.
