Help with beadboard!

Need help with the paneling attachment in my apartment. Since I prefer it not to protrude too much, I'm wondering if you can glue up the paneling or if you have to use 28x70 and then nail it? Or are there other options to make it protrude as little as possible?

I have a ceiling height of 250 cm, not sure if they are high enough, it's concrete walls and plaster.

Then if I wanted to have panels, I would place them flush against the floor moldings and add a molding at the top, then for example a flat panel at the top as a "border" or alternatively a wide molding at the top to fill it out. I think the solution with the border looks the best.

Thanks for the great suggestion And if I want to set up Pärspont one by one, it's 28x70 that I drill and then nail the pärspont into?
