We live in a townhouse (Hjältevadhus) built in 2008. Our staircase (open steps) inside the house creaks a lot when you walk on it. Several of the steps creak. The sound itself is not a big problem, but I am wondering if we need to worry about the steps breaking, that the whole staircase might break since it creaks so much? Or is there no danger? How many kilos do steps usually support? My husband weighs 90 kg. When he walks on the stairs and I stand downstairs, I can see that each step sinks a little when he steps on them. Is that normal?

Has it creaked before? I have noticed that in July/August my stairs creak too. It's the same every year.
