Big dilemma and need good advice before I go crazy... :-?

I've lowered the ceiling and placed plasterboards, plastered, glued fiberglass fabric, and painted. To my great disappointment, I discover a dip in the painting where the boards are joined, or even worse, in some areas a tendency to crack!

Why and what to do? What have I done wrong? They're not beveled edges, but as I understand it, it should work well if you plaster and glue fiberglass fabric?

Please... what should I do to prevent this from happening again?

The board joint is properly placed on a beam and the boards are securely screwed into it?

What is above the joist floor? Large spans and a busy upper floor can cause sway/movement in the joist floor that causes it to crack.
