Starting next week, I will build a 48 square meter cabin. I plan to mount the base plate lying on its side, then the wall studs, then the roof trusses, and the floor last. I bought a Construction DVD and saw in the film that it was built differently. The base plate is mounted on edge, then the floor joists, then the wall studs, and finally the roof trusses. This method required a support beam nailed to the base plate, on which the floor joists rested. With "my" method, with a lying base plate, I can both save the floor for last (risk of rain) and nail the floor joists directly ON the base plate. Afraid to do something wrong! Which method is correct?
