I have a craftsman in the attic who is insulating the ventilation pipes for the exhaust air. There is already loose fill insulation in the attic. Now he is digging away the loose fill and insulating the pipe. To work smoothly, he is sitting on a plywood board on the loose fill, which then gets compressed. My question is if this is okay and good for the loose fill insulation. Will it insulate worse later?

Can't you just go up with a little rake/stick and fluff what has been compressed?

I'm not going to do anything. That's what the craftsman gets paid for.
But if it's enough to fluff the wool again, he can do it.

I would probably take the opportunity to add or have more insulation added.
