Buying construction materials abroad

I received a quote from Castorama in Gdansk for a Hörmann Lpu 40 3000*2250. 4862PLN for the door, 1591PLN for the opener, and 107PLN for the remote control, totaling around 14200kr for everything. Expensive? Cheap? Does anyone have an idea?

Have concluded that epu 40 is much cheaper than lpu 40, does anyone know what the difference is besides the appearance?

edit: Have price received answers to all price inquiries on Hörmann doors:

Conclusion: Praktiker is much cheaper than Castorama
Opener costs 850 at Praktiker including remote

Differences of thousands in the end

Any more tips on accommodation in the Gdansk area with fenced parking? 80 euros/night seemed a bit expensive to us.....

You can always park the car in the enclosure outside Grand Hotel and choose another hotel. But the hotels in that resort area are more expensive than elsewhere. However, it might be worth it if you go in the summer.

Hey!!

...then there's that Polish chain that's right next to Ikea and Obi in Gdansk, I think it was called AGV or RTG or something like that, they had unbelievably good prices on home theater amplifiers, it was mainly Onkyo that I was surprised to see was so much cheaper than back home. It was in there that the carpenter bought his E-lux condenser dryer and 1200 RPM washing machine.

Anyone else know what the store is called?

To answer the original question from Jesca-J, we have just been to Germany, Jawohl! More specifically in Rostock, shopping spree... First, we just walked around and thought it might be better to move on with the nine-meter truck to Szczecin... But after a while, when we found tiles and parquet that we liked at a price we consider to be half price, we decided to stay and make our purchases here! In addition, Praktiker had 20% off EVERYTHING! Here we bought, among other things, flexifix, filler, and moisture barriers at prices we assess to be almost as good as in Poland. By the way, our next round will probably go to Szczecin. Summary: We shopped for a total of around 30,000 SEK and minus tickets and truck rental we saved almost 25,000! If something negative is to be mentioned, they did not accept VISA at Bahr and there was still a somewhat "Eastern" vibe in the premises and staff, although there were exceptions. They also often didn't have the goods in stock; only what was in the store was available!! Otherwise, we would have bought more wooden floors and terrace tiles for 80 SEK/sqm fine Greek tiles that were 4 cm thick.

Regarding Hörmann LPU40, I bought 2 pcs 2500*2125 doors with openers and remote for 31,000 SEK from Garageportexperten including installation! I don't know if it's cheap, but maybe good for comparison...

I've searched around the forum but haven't found anything about bathroom furniture bought from Poland.

I wonder if anyone knows if there are furniture from Swedbergs, Hafa, Dansani and similar available in Poland at a good price?

Of course, tips on other domestic brands are also welcome, but I'm looking for somewhat more advanced furniture than the simplest white veneer furniture!

I would be very grateful for links and price information!

Going down to Gdansk for the second time to search for tiles & klinkel. We thought the selection at the big construction companies was too poor. We would gratefully accept tips on stores that specialize in these goods and where they are located.

Heading to Poland for the third year for a larger shopping trip than before this week. This time, I plan to buy building materials for 3 house constructions and would like to find some more specialized stores than Castorama, whose prices on gypsum etc. did not impress last time I was there. Products that I am particularly interested in finding good prices on are:

Lecasten
Gypsum and other board materials
Quality painting products, for example, Flugger.
Metalwork
Foundation materials like L-elements and insulation
Insulation
Nails and screws
High-end kitchen suppliers
Stair suppliers

Does anyone have any hidden gems to recommend in the Gdansk/Sopot/Gdynia area?
