Hello!

We have a lightweight concrete house (Siporex) with Tretex panels on the exterior walls. There seems to be a gap between the wall and the Tretex.

We are now considering whether we can plaster the Tretex, for example with gypsum plaster. Is that possible? Or will it crack?
Maybe we can apply Stucanet first to reinforce it? Or maybe it's enough to apply a primer since it will likely absorb quite a bit?

What do you think?

Thanks, bye!

The Tretex is too soft to withstand any potential pressure. If someone falls against the wall, the plaster easily cracks. I think the "easiest" solution is to remove the Tretex...

Tretex must be the devil's invention. I don't think it will be good to plaster on it for the aforementioned reasons. Either take it down and put up OSB+plasterboard so you have something to hang pictures on or try to screw a plasterboard on top.

If I take it down, then I remove the insulation they provide, but maybe it's not much anyway... I'm not really sure. I've heard it's like 3 plasterboards.

Of course, it will be difficult to put things up on the Trextex as well because there is a gap between the Tretex and the concrete wall... or is there a good way to do it? If I instead put up wallpaper, I need some good solution for this.

Thanks.
