Gypsum board facade on all sides (4AK) - should I cut one side?
I have bought gypsum boards that are beveled on all four sides to be installed in a ceiling. The edge that meets the wall, should I cut it or leave it as it is? I plan to finish with a paper tape between the wall and ceiling and think that it will be easier to finish if the board is still beveled.
It will be harder to make a nice transition between the ceiling and wall if you leave the bevel. You will lack a reference for how much filler is needed to get a straight line. I recommend cutting off the bevel against the wall.Y yehor said:
I usually install LP50 vplåtvinkel in all inner corners (wall/wall, wall/ceiling). Then you can skip placing tape in the inner angle. A soft caulk is enough. The metal prevents it from cracking, as everything is screwed into the rigid metal. Install the ceilings without chamfer. Press the drywall on the wall against the ceiling. Only caulking is needed. Have done this in several rooms without any cracks after several years.

I have installed LP50 and tape in every corner so far, no cracks but maybe overdone then.M meckis said:I usually install LP50 vplåtvinkel in all inner corners (wall/wall, wall/ceiling).
