Hello!
I have a hollow block house and there is a cast concrete plinth in parts of the basement. With Nivell flooring in the basement, I need baseboards, but it's completely impossible to nail into concrete. Drilling, plugging, and screwing the baseboards seems laborious and like overkill. Can one glue the baseboard to the painted concrete (wall paint)? My thoughts then turn to silicone.
Any experience or opinions?

Of course, it is possible to glue, but more suitable with some mounting adhesive, XtremeFix should have really good grip http://www.casco.eu/se/casco-produkter/?pc=161&p=2478
Use construction adhesive, that's what I used when I installed my baseboards last week!
A very good tip regarding installation is to first apply adhesive to the baseboard, then press it against the wall, then remove it and press it back again. This way, you spread the adhesive and increase the bonding area. I got this tip from two independent people and it worked great, they hold like a rock.
Good luck!

Feedback: Works.
My stone walls are a bit uneven, and the leveling floors are intentionally somewhat curved. A different technique is required with planks and weights to hold the baseboards in place. Then I used latex to cover the ugly gaps in the baseboard.
I found no benefit in smearing the glue. Apply glue to the contact surfaces, press, and the glue distributes itself on the contact surfaces.
