I
Hi,

I have previously used PU 700 to glue a mexitegel wall which worked excellently, still holding up today, 7 years later.

PU 700 adhesive can with green label and applicator, used for stone and brick construction.

Now a couple of bricks have come loose on our facade, also mexitegel. In some cases, it's whole clumps with 2-3 bricks and some mortar. My first thought is to buy a can of PU 700 but it does contain unpleasant substances like isocyanates. What do you think about using MS polymer adhesive, e.g., Tec7, more expensive but more or less harmless, and it also handles movements better. Probably it has slightly less strength in the long run assuming the structure doesn't move, otherwise PU 700 is more prone to cracking.

Tec7 adhesive tube with green and black label, used for bonding and sealing, suitable for use underwater. Biltema Multi Bond adhesive tube, 290 ml, with a nozzle, used for sealing, binding, filling, and mounting, as discussed for use in facade repair.

The facade in this case is just a facade, basically, it's a wooden house so the facade doesn't really have any load-bearing function.

I can also add that I already have MS polymer adhesive in the form of both Tec7 and the Biltema version. But if PU 700 is clearly the better option, then of course I’ll buy that.
