Glue Double Gypsum (Floor)
Hi,
Does anyone know what kind of glue one can use? I know there are special adhesives, but they cost a fortune. Some seem to suggest that regular tile adhesive should work. I'm personally considering whether regular wallpaper paste (the fabric paste variant) could also work. Both of these are used to attach other materials directly to drywall, so they should also be able to attach plaster to plaster. Or????
Thanks in advance!!!

Mounting glue in a cartridge if it's a single or s48 it's not that expensive

It is actually quite expensive. It ends up being about 110 SEK per square meter with a 6 mm notched trowel, although you might be able to use a significantly thinner layer. At one-third, it feels quite manageable. Can it work??? With a 6 mm notched trowel, the glue costs more than both layers of floor gypsum.Andreas_kalmar said:

I had actually missed that thread. So it sounds like it's completely OK with regular tile adhesive as long as you prime before, and I’m happy to prime.
I like Fasting 65s words "Sometimes you wonder if S48 is pure Colombian heroin - it's expensive as hell."
No wonder we DIY builders always fail to stay on budget, when an adhesive can cost more than the material it bonds. :/

Depending on how important it is to strengthen the foundation
However, I must insist on continuing to investigate the issue of wallpaper/fabric glue. If the boards are covered with cardboard, then it should still adhere excellently. Don't worry, I don't intend to experiment myself, but it would be interesting to know why it couldn't work.

I agree (even though I haven't tried it myself).K Kojfabriken said:
But not simple wallpaper paste, which is just starch and dissolves easily if it gets damp.
But fabric glue/wet room glue? Maybe this one:

I have glued plasterboards with vinyl acetate suspension, i.e., regular white glue/wood glue. Incidentally, this is the chemical basis for "primer" that should be applied on plasterboards before tiling or applying rolled-on waterproofing layers.
