Working on our new bathroom in the basement, where we previously had a small stove for coziness and warmth, which will remain. ;D Now my wife really wants glass bricks as an extension of the chimney to have the shower wall in the corner that becomes wall-chimney. This places the stove about 15cm from the glass blocks. Will this work or will the glass crack from the heat?
If I understand you correctly, the glass concrete wall will end up between the shower and the stove?
There are some threads about glass concrete in sauna walls, here is one

If you don't think you get answers there, you can look at

If that's not enough, I think you should email them, they are quick with responses

Emailed them since their website didn’t provide much info and wasn’t fully functional. The response I got was that it could be resolved with fire glass, but they said it was expensive and not worth it. So now it's about building the wall with another material. Anyone with tips? Framing up with plasterboard doesn’t feel right so it will probably be some type of masonry. Should I go for regular brick that’s plastered on one side and painted like the chimney stack, or some other type of block to build up?
