I have a bit of a distance to travel to building supply stores and dealers and found it convenient to order a crane truck with materials home this winter, especially since I had quite a bit I needed. I got lumber, insulation, drywall, etc. The insulation was OK, but of the lumber, 20-25% was already warped. Either bent like bananas or twisted like Turning Torso. Of about 40 drywall sheets, 10 looked like this:
Is this what it's like when ordering construction materials home, i.e., it's most economical to load sheet by sheet yourself at the building stores? Or have I been unlucky/chosen a supplier who just dumped junk?
Now I'm not sure if I dare to order the next batch of building materials home, or if I really have to spend several days with a car and trailer to ensure a lower margin of error...

Just call and tell them to come and pick up the incorrect item... that shouldn't be accepted. But you can start nicely... and point out that you plan to order more things in the future and that you'll choose someone else if they aren't more careful with their handling.
I've ordered quite a lot from 3-4 different places... everything from Byggmax to the local retailer... and every delivery has been nicely packed, covered with plastic, etc. regardless of where I bought the items. and no "junk"...

I have personally ordered from Byggmax two or maybe three times and everything has been nicely wrapped every time. Zero defects on plasterboard and chipboard as well as doors and some other things. Even the insulation was completely intact. However, I will never order studs that way again because it felt like they took the opportunity to throw in ones that people had already set aside.

Mmkay, thanks for your responses! It definitely seems like I was unlucky or encountered a loader who was having a bad day.
