Hello.

I'm planning to order lumber and start assembling the blocks for the garage construction. I'm looking into different constructions for the roof trusses.
It's worth mentioning that it's an Attefall garage, so not large, and no building permit is required (building notification made and approved).

I want to maximize the available space, including height. Initially, I was considering assembling 15 trusses at cc400 in the classic simple lean-to truss style.

However, I have now changed my mind and am considering a free-standing 45x220 C4 standing studs that should handle snow load in zone 2 with a span of 4000mm (45x195 C24 is norm-approved). The roof pitch will be about 14 degrees.

Has anyone built like this and can provide some input on how you made the attachment (did you notch the studs? wedge the studs? what dimensions did you use for roof ventilation? did you install vents in the roof, etc.?)

All tips are welcome.

Have a great day / Micke
