Should there be gaps this big? We have a crawl space underneath, and when you smell along the seam, you can detect some scent from the crawl space. Is there a way to seal it, and if so, with what? In some places, there's a cold draft blowing in. We are going to install new parquet flooring and thought it might be a good time to seal these gaps. Or could sealing have a negative impact on the foundation?
