For some reason, there's a cornerstone sticking out in one of our rooms at the floor. I tried to chip away pieces from it but with the radiator and lack of time, I gave up. How can I make it look nice here?

I'm going to put baseboards around the room but it's not possible here. What is the best solution? Some kind of sealant or another solution?

  • Wall with protruding foundation stone at floor level next to a radiator, showing a gap between the wall and floorboards.
  • Floor with a protruding foundation stone at the base of a wall, next to a radiator, posing a challenge for installing baseboards.
Since it's already cut into the floor around the stone, the best approach is to apply acrylic sealant against the stone and the floor. It looks difficult with the trim also in the corner, or is it just an optical illusion? But if the trim can't fit into the corner, I would have ended the trim with an angle towards the wall, then painted the stone and applied sealant to the floor.

But if the trim fits, I would have done the same and cut the trim for the stone and applied sealant there as well, then the "mistake" will be consistent on the floor and the wall.

It turned out pretty good, let's see if it stands the test of time.
A wall corner with white sealant applied next to a radiator and wooden floor.

Looks really good, and if it's good up close then you don't think about it otherwise
