Planning to build a deck on a beach (about 7x13m) with a sauna and storage building of about 27 sqm on top. The question now is how to construct the foundation for the bearing beams. The beach is sandy with clay about 1m down and a long way to bedrock (>10m). It's shallow but sometimes the saltwater rises under the deck. No special waves though, it's quite protected. It's difficult (and expensive) to access for piling. Considering simpler hand piling, concrete piers, or maybe something even simpler. I can imagine adjusting with a jack, but it should be the exception, not the rule.
