I didn't really know where to put this question, but it is about building materials so I'll try here.
All in all, I have a suitcase (Epic Crate) that has cracked at the handle. Polycarbonate, the crack is about 10cm. Sure, I could just throw the suitcase away and buy a new one, but it feels silly not to try to fix it. The material is "duralite" which is supposed to be some form of polycarbonate. As long as it holds, I don't care about the aesthetics.
I need something strong and preferably a little flexible. My first thought is to use some form of epoxy together with fabric (fiberglass cloth) on both sides of the suitcase to reinforce it. Is that the right way to go, and if so, which epoxy should be used and which fabric, or is there a better alternative?
