Hello everyone. I'm working on a major renovation where walls have been removed. The ceiling is made of concrete with plaster on top and now looks like this:
1. My plan has been to fill and then paint, but I'm a bit unsure if it will turn out well. Can you put wallpaper over everything if it’s more forgiving of mistakes and irregularities? What would you do? Filler shrinks too, so should plasterboard be used instead?
2. Electrical wiring. Do you run new electrical wires in this plaster layer or in the concrete? To keep the wiring hidden? Can an electrician do this or does another builder need to cut tracks for this first?
Maybe I should also mention that I have considered lowering the ceiling with a completely independent inner ceiling with plasterboard, but it feels like a slightly too big project perhaps..
