We have a basement with electric underfloor heating, installed by the previous owner. Embedded in the concrete floor, probably not thicker than absolutely necessary. Under this floor lies a drain which occasionally gets blocked. So far, the blocks have been cleared with the help of a high-pressure washer hose. Obviously, something is incorrectly done, as the hose cannot be fully inserted. I perceive it as a 90-degree angle somewhere. By flushing with the hose from both ends, I have cleared the blockage after some effort. I'm considering tearing up the floor and fixing the cause of the blockages; just because I've managed to clear them doesn't mean I always will. Tearing up the floor would destroy the underfloor heating in the area, is it possible to patch up the underfloor heating or is it done for?
