Fireplace concrete ring how can it be repaired in the best way is it enough with refractory mortar do you think?? It has started to crack quite a bit from the heat variations .... Concrete fire pit with visible cracks caused by heat fluctuations. Surrounded by grass, it shows signs of wear and suggests repair with fireproof mortar. Cracked concrete fire pit ring with visible heat damage and surface erosion. Green grass in the background.

There's nothing that holds, it gets quite warm there, recommendation some new stuff,

Concrete rings are not very good for that application. I have seen two iron pipes with sand in between in some places. It withstands the heat.

Concrete ring with a cast bottom, the ring is placed on the ground with sand underneath, about 15 cm of concrete with some reinforcement arranged in the bottom.

it's been working since around 2015, it should work a bit longer, how can you build something similar yourself ??

The one you are showing is a förmiskningsring that is usually placed on well rings so it doesn't become too large at the top, simply such one, available in different sizes. Turn it upside down, then cast the bottom as you want it, quite a simple construction. Of course it costs, but there is reinforcement in it so it should probably last a few years. It is the heat that breaks it.

It is probably better not to have a dense bottom.

It is cast at the bottom
