I am renovating a laundry room and have just replaced 2 floor drains, I have slab on grade and my floor is built up like this:
Take the measurements with a grain of salt, they are just estimates.
I have now started to pour concrete around the new floor drains and tried to maintain a similar build-up as before.
I joined the slab with fine concrete 2 days ago, but I am very uncertain about the drying time to avoid trapping any moisture. Can I now place polystyrene over that and then pour the final "finish," and then wait with the waterproofing for a few weeks? I will, of course, apply self-leveling compound over the "finish" before the waterproofing, but I can also wait a few weeks for this.
How should I view the drying times in this situation when using something like Finja's fine concrete as I have in this case?
The areas in question are about 0.7 m2 with two layers of about 5-10 cm.
