Fiber cement board - which saw?
Hello!
I wonder if you can help me choose which saw I should buy to cut a fiber cement board/minerit board? Today, the board is about 1.5 * 2.5 m, 7 mm thick, and it needs to be cut into 4 parts. So only straight cuts. I know it should be a diamond blade, but then it's a jungle of saws and I don't want to spend a fortune on tools I will use only once.
I tried reading old threads, but I didn't get any wiser...

Cut one of these over the weekend with a diamond blade and angle grinder.
I already had both at home, so no new purchase (unfortunately).
Now the cuts won't be exactly straight if it's super important, but if you just take it easy, it's not noticeable anyway!
Biltema charges 129 SEK for a 125-blade for an angle grinder.

I have used a reciprocating saw with a fine-toothed metal blade. Works okay but wears out pretty quickly!

Handsaw, circular saw, jigsaw, reciprocating saw, etc.
If you use a machine, blow it clean before you put it away.

I can testify that scoring with a rits/morakniv and then breaking it off against a straight edge worked fine when I did it last weekend.
Alternatively, there seems to be special jigsaw blades, for example, something with fiber board, etc. They cost 400 SEK at Bauhaus for a couple of such blades.
If it's just a few cuts, I would consider scoring over buying expensive blades and saw blades. (I haven't tested a handsaw)
