I am going to build a picket fence with posts around the house.
The fence will be placed on rock and a granite retaining wall, see attached image.
How do I best attach the posts to the rock and retaining wall?
I have read that post shoes are a poor solution as they are not designed to handle lateral loads and begin to loosen over time.
