How do you attach the rafters to the wall plate, the beam in the middle, and at the top against each other? Do you have to notch them at these points to get the correct angle against the wall plate/post, or can you simply place them on and secure with angle brackets?
You should make a cut so that it rests on the entire hammarband or alternatively make a wedge that fits and place it between the beam and hammarband. Secure with angle brackets and at the ridge, join it together with a gusset plate.
