I have just removed the old stone that formed the top layer of our 1930s porch. As you can see, the surface is extremely uneven, and I need to do a new overlay before having a flat surface to place new granite slabs on. The dimensions of the porch are 5 x 2 meters.

I am now planning to build a mold around the porch to make a thin overlay with fine concrete.

Considerations:
1. Should I use reinforcement for a thin overlay of 0-4 cm thickness? It will be difficult to fit reinforcement everywhere, but perhaps thin stainless steel reinforcement?
2. I assume I should have a slope away from the house for rainwater, even though I have a roof all the way over the porch. Should I fix the slope already on the overlay, so that I can apply the adhesive under the granite slabs in an even layer?

Grateful for tips.
